I am committed to having a high-quality, relaxing dental office where the entire family can receive dental care. I enjoy working with both adults and children. I receive great satisfaction from the positive results I see when patients apply what they have learned in my office at home. Good oral care and regular cleanings really do save teeth!
I am passionate about breaking the barrier many people have with facing dental care. I believe preventive care and conservative approaches are incredibly important for people to save their teeth long term.
However, so many people have had bad experiences with dental care in the past that they fear it now and do not even come to the dental office until it is too late. I have created a culture in my dental practice of acceptance, non-judgment, no-pressure case planning and compassionate care.
No matter if it has been just six months or 16 years since your last dental visit, I use the same approach to plan out, step by step, what you need to do to have healthy teeth and gums.
I received my undergraduate degree from University of Texas at Dallas and my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry, in downtown Dallas. After graduating from Baylor in 2004, I started this practice on Alma Road and have been happily providing exceptional dentistry ever since.
Every year I take continuing education beyond the minimum required for my license. I feel it is my responsibility to stay up to date and provide the best treatment options for my patients. Often, I choose my continuing education based on what I see as the most common problems my patients face.
For example, in our “go-go-go” high-stress city, I see many people coming in with jaw tension and pain. It is a form of temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ/TMD) that can be treated easily.
Another special interest I have is conservative composite fillings. I come from a very artistic family, so the type of composite fillings in the front teeth that I have to sculpt myself brings me a great sense of accomplishment. I can do so much with just a small filling on the front teeth to improve a patient’s smile aesthetics.
Raised in the Richardson/Plano area from birth, I know this is a wonderful, warm community in which to raise my family. My husband and I have two young boys who keep us on our toes. We have officially become a “baseball family,” with both boys playing baseball and t-ball. We love it!
Together as a family, we enjoy hiking and bird watching, which is why I love our dental office with its beautiful views of trees and birds (and the occasional bobcat, rat snake, and coyote) from each room.
When I have free time, I enjoy reading and gardening, but my true passion is being a great mom. Teaching my boys to be loving Christians has brought me deeper into my own faith.
